In my opinion the grill was shipped in a box that was appropraite for pallet shipping but not for individual unit shipping. When it arrive on my doorstep the side of the box was halfway ripped off - like the grill tried to slide out of the box from the side. Since UPS just left the box on my doorstep, I decided to open it and hope that the pieces inside were protected. They weren't. Pieces were bent and cracked. Some pieces were snapped off.
The good news is that Amazon set up the RMA, set up the pick up with UPS and I did not get charged a thing. Amazon also offered other options like reimbursing me for pieces that were broken if I wanted to replace just the broken pieces. I decided to go with the RMA because this device involves propane and I did not want to risk any undetected cracks.
The bad news is that I won't order a grill on-line again.

I can finally sear my meats like the restaurants do. The high output burner does an excellent job. This grill is well constructed and the fold down side shelves are a nice feature. It has a high dome cover to really smoke the meat. The only problem that I had is that the grill weighs 107lbs and the packaging is not the greatest. When UPS delivered it the delivery person literally tumbled it into my garage since it was too heavy for one person to lift. I had to return the first one because too much was broken and dented. The second one was still beat up but since nothing was broken I just to straightened the side panels and live with the remaining dents - too bad! Other than the packaging, I love this unit and recommend it. PS - I think Amazon could help by putting the original box into another that has handles on it.

Just like a lot of other reviews the parts received were bent from shipping and handling, but after a bit of adjustments the parts fit just fine. It did arrive without any assembly instructions but i was able to look them up on the internet. The base is a bit flimsy but the cooker does an excellent job. It is a rarity to burn meats due to minimal contact with grates. Would recommend this grill to others.
